Rose Otto Hydrosol

Rosa damascena

🌿 conventional or organic available

Hydrosol is the aromatic water that is produced during the distilling process. It has similar therapeutic properties to the essential oils, but is far less concentrated. These aromatic products possess a similar scent to their oil counterpart and the plant matter used in the distillation process imparts the hydrosol with the water-soluble aromatic and therapeutic properties of the plant.

With a strong floral and sweet fragrance, rose is a favourite in the fragrance industry and favoured in skin care with its soothing and hydrating properties. The high cost of Rose Otto Oil makes Rose Otto Hydrosol a viable alternative.

Rose Otto Oil is extracted via gentle steam distialltion, with this prized Hydrosol being a product of this process.
