Palo Santo

Bursera graveolens

Palo Santo is translated from Spanish as ‘Holy Wood’. With a long spiritual history, it has been used for healing and in cleansing rituals for thousands of years and is believed to help clear negative energy.

Palo Santo oil is steam distilled from the wood of the trees, which are primarily located in South and Central America. The oil can be sustainably harvested from fallen trees and branches. The tree is in the same botanical family as Frankincense.

With a gentle aroma, with a woody scent with hints of pine, lemon and mint, Palo Santo oil is rich in antioxidants, and has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and is considered to be a purifying and cleansing oil.
