Orbignya oleifera

🌿 conventional or organic available

Babassu Oil is a nutrient rich oil similar to coconut oil that comes from the cold pressing of the seed of the Babassu palm tree, but is a far more lightweight oil. The oil is a solid at room temperature.

The tree is found in the Amazon region of South America.

The high content of fatty acids with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties make it extremely moisturising, soothing and hydrating; great for wound healing and improving skin texture and great in hair products.
